Privacy Policy

Last updated: [May 22, 2025]

Maverick Technologies Group, LLC (“Maverick,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share through the Create Pet Trust service (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use and safeguard it, and the rights you may have.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies only to data processed in connection with Create Pet Trust. It does not cover third'party websites or services that may be linked from our site.

2. Information We Collect

a. Questionnaire Data

When you complete the online workflow, you provide information such as your name, contact details, your pet's details, the names of trustees or beneficiaries, and your distribution instructions.

b. Payment Information

Payments are handled solely by Stripe. We receive a transaction token, basic billing metadata (e.g., billing ZIP or postcode), and the last four digits of your card—never your full card number.

c. Transaction Logs

Our system automatically records the date and time of your purchase, a document identifier, the price paid, and refund status.

d. Support Communications

If you contact our support team, we retain the content of your message and any follow‑up correspondence.

We collect marketing and analytics data to improve our services, but we do not run ads or behavioral tracking, and do not sell personal information.

3. How We Use Your Information

  1. Contractual necessity – to generate your pet‑trust document.
  2. Customer support – to send receipts, process refunds, and reply to your inquiries.
  3. Security and reliability – to maintain the integrity of our systems, prevent fraud, and debug errors.
  4. Legal compliance – to meet tax, accounting, or other statutory obligations.

4. Retention Period

Questionnaire data is stored on encrypted servers hosted by Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) in [AWS region, e.g., us‑east‑1] for up to five (5) years. After that period, the data is permanently deleted or anonymised.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

  • Stripe processes all payments in accordance with PCI‑DSS.
  • AWS provides secure cloud infrastructure.
  • We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

We never sell or rent your personal information.

6. Security Measures

  • TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit.
  • AES‑256 encryption for data at rest (managed through AWS Key Management Service).
  • Role‑based access controls and the principle of least privilege.
  • Regular security audits and penetration tests.

Despite these safeguards, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; we therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International Data Transfers

All data is stored in the United States. If you reside outside the U.S., you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for onward transfers.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of that information.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of your data.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email [[email protected]] with the subject “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity and respond within the period required by applicable law (typically 30–45 days).

Residents of California may also have the right to opt‑out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We do not engage in such practices, but you may still contact us to confirm.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, please contact us so we can delete the data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email (if you provided one at checkout) and an in‑app banner at least fifteen (15) days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
